Mufti Abdul Wahab Waheed

Mufti Abdul Wahab is Co-founder at Miftaah Institute. He also travels extensively across North America for dawah purposes. Throughout his travels, Mufti Abdul Wahab has addressed communities across the United States  on a wide range of Islamic topics.

Shaykh Hamzah Imtiyaz currently serves as the Resident Scholar at the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis (IFGSTL) in St. Louis, Missouri.He holds several ijāzahs (teaching licenses) in the Islamic sciences as a result of his 6 year journey of seeking knowledge.

 Shaykh Abdullah Waheed

Instructor

Shaykh Abdullah Waheed was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. He commenced his studies at the age of 10 in Toronto, Canada where he went to memorize the Quran.  He completed the memorization of the Holy Quran by the tender age of 13 and then went on to study in the 7 year extensive Shariah program in Toronto, Canada. Shaykh Abdullah then continued his research and studies, which took him on global journeys, such as Pakistan, Kuwait, and England.

 Ustadh Ubaydallah Evans

Ustadh Ubaydullah converted to Islam while in high school. Upon conversion, Ustadh Ubaydullah began studying some of the foundational books of Islam under the private tutelage of local scholars while simultaneously pursuing a degree in journalism from Columbia.Since then he has studied at Chicagoland’s Institute of Islamic Education (IIE), in Tarim, Yemen, and Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he is the first African-American to graduate from its Shari’a program.

 Imam Yusuf Wahb

Sh. Yousef Wahb is a graduate of Al-Azhar’s Faculty of Languages and Translation, where he studied Islamic Studies in the English Language. He has also acquired an Advanced Level of Qira’at (Quranic modes of Recitation) from Al-Azhar Institute. He has dedicated over 10 years as an imam and visiting lecturer at various Islamic Centres, mosques, schools, and youth camps.

Shaykh Abdullah Waheed

Shaykh Abdullah Waheed was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. He commenced his studies at the age of 10 in Toronto, Canada where he went to memorize the Quran. Shaykh Abdullah specialized in Tafseer of the Quran. Shaykh Abdullah spent years to study the details and beauty of our Holy book since understanding and mastering the language of Holy Quran was always the primary goal. Shaykh Abdullah is serving as an Instructor at Miftaah institute and is also the Director of Islamic Affairs at Flint Islamic Center. Sheikh Abdullah travels across North America for khutbas, workshops, and seminars.

Shaykh Daood Butt

Shaykh Daood Butt was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Following secondary studies, he obtained a degree in Automotive Technology and was nominated amongst Canadas Top Graduates of 2002. During this time, he studied with local Imams and was hired as an Imam and Quran instructor at a local mosque. He went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah for seven years, during which he completed a Diploma in Arabic Language followed by a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology and Islamic Dawah from the Faculty of Dawah and Usool Ad-Deen in 2010.

Mufti Abdul Wahab is a Co-founder at Miftaah Institute and also is a Co-Founder and Director at Michigan Islamic Institute. Mufti Abdul Wahab Waheed was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI. He began Islamic studies at Jaamiah al-Uloom al-Islamiyyah in Canada where he became a Hafiz at the age of 11. Upon the completion of his Tahfeedhul Ul Quran, Mufti Abdul Wahab decided to continue his studies in Islamic sciences.

Shaykh Hamzah Imtiaz currently serves as the Resident Scholar at the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis (IFGSTL) in St. Louis, Missouri. Imam Ali Hofioni is currently serving the GTA community as an Imam, instructor, director and counselor at Ummah Nabawiah Masjid. He received numerous ijazah of transmission in all six famously authentic books of hadith from his teachers.

Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans is ALIM’s first Scholar-in-Residence.  He converted to Islam while in high school. Mufti Aasim Rashid

Mufti Aasim Rashid is a distinguished Muslim scholar, speaker and educator (the title ‘Mufti’ indicates his expertise and authority in Islamic law). He is devoted to the study and explanation of Islamic sacred texts and their relation to the modern context. His lectures, delivered at conferences and institutions around the world, are known to be inspiring and pertinent to the issues and pressing questions of the day. Mufti Aasim is the founder of the Al-Ihsan Educational Foundation, which has initiated the ‘Islam Unravelled’ project.

Imam Yousef Wahb

Imam Yousef Wahb is an Islamic Law Instructor at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law and the Research Director of Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research's Quranic Studies Department. Shaykh Yousef holds a Bachelor in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University and a Masters of Law from the University of Windsor.

Shaykh Yousef also serves the community as a Research Intern at the Stanford Muslim Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab, a co-founding board member of Green Ummah, an Islamic Compliance Advisor for Beneficent, and a Chaplain at the University of Windsor.

Mufti Abdul Rahman Waheed

Mufti Abdul Rahman Waheed was born and raised in Lansing, MI. As a youth, he displayed zeal and enthusiasm to involve himself in the religious sciences. At just 9 years of age, Mufti Abdul Rahman went to Toronto, Canada to pursue his dreams of becoming a Hafidh of the Holy Qur'an. Within a year, he completed the memorization of the Qur'an. He was known to be from among the most intelligent students in the school. He continued his 7 year Shariah program in which he studied a variety of subjects such as Hadith, Tafseer, Usool al-Hadith, logic, rhetoric by the age of 18. Thereafter, Mufti Abdul Rahman traveled to Pakistan to continue his passion to seek knowledge where he completed his 2 year Iftaa program which specializes in Islamic Jurisprudence and Law.

He is legally permitted to pass a Fatwa or verdict.He is known for his passion and dedication to learning and teaching the lost history of Islam and provides detailed insight on how Muslims lived throughout the different eras of history. Mufti Abdul Rahman gives insight to various literature in the Islamic world. Mufti Abdul Rahman is serving as a principal and is a  full-time instructor at Michigan Islamic Institute, the brother organization of Miftaah Institute. He travels across North America as a khateeb and lecturer. He is well-known for his calm and down-to-Earth demeanor.

Ustadh Joe Bradford

Joe Bradford is an entrepreneur and an American scholar of Islam. He holds a Master of Islamic Law from the University of Medina, and has studied traditionally in the Muslim world for the past 20+ years. He was a VP and Senior Shariah Consultant for AlRajhi Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in the Middle East. Joe is sought after as an Ethical Finance Advisor to individuals and institutions at home and abroad.

Joe is one of the few experts on issues involving Muslims and Finance in North America. While his expertise spans many areas, he has focused his efforts on creating companies that allow people of faith and conviction to align their values with their finances.

Shaykh Navaid Aziz

Shaykh Navaid Aziz was raised in Montreal, Quebec where he completed a diplome d’etudes collegiales in Social Sciences from Champlain College. He then proceeded to the Islamic University of Madinah, where he completed an Associate’s Degree in the Arabic Language and a Bachelors in Islamic Law in 2008. Upon returning home to Canada in 2008, Navaid began teaching for Al-Maghrib Institute.  He has now transitioned to their Director of Public Relations. Shaykh Navaid has lectured across five continents and over 20 countries thus far.

Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam Al-Kawthari

Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari is a traditionally-trained Islamic scholar who has studied the Arabic language and various other traditional Islamic sciences including Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), Hadith and Fiqh in different parts of the world including the UK, Pakistan and Syria. He has received authorizations (ijazahs) in various Islamic disciplines including the six major collections of Hadith and the science of issuing religious verdicts (Fatwa). His authored works include: Elucidation of Forty Hadiths on Marriage, The Issue of Shares and Simplified Rules of Zakat, and more. He is a teacher of various traditional Islamic sciences, and Director and researcher at the Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence (Darul Iftaa)
